Z-P :Mission 8 - Special: Part 1

The midday breeze blew through the grass, where two boys where playing with a soccer ball: a younger David and an older boy that had white spiky hair.

"Come at me David. Give me your best shot, and try to steal the ball from me" The white spiky boy said, taunting a little at his friend.

"You'll see. This time I am going to steal it this time". David said with a slighty smirk on his face.

The blue haired boy started to run towards his friend, and trying to steal the ball. His friend that didn't let the ball being stole, was also seeing how he was improving.

"(He has improved... Now, he is trying to read my next move, and tries to stole the ball with a movement that could defeat what I'm planning to do, not like before, when the only thing that try to do was steal the ball without thinking.)" The boy thought, but then he saw that David was about to steal the ball, and in some seconds, he finally made it, and he could only smile.

David was also smiling, since he finally stole the ball from his friend, who was good in keeping the ball and the dribble, and make a shoot to their made-up goal, scoring a gola, since they didn't have a goalkeeper, and looked back at his friend with a slighty smirk on it.

"You see? I finally steal it" David said proudly.

"I recognize that you have improved, comparing how you were a year ago. But remember, that this is the first time that you have stolen the ball from me." His friend said, while David could just said a simple 'Hmph', but in some seconds, both start to laugh slighty.

They both decide to go home together, since both of their homes were close to each other, while David was kicking slighty the ball to move it forward.

"So, did you decide in which position do you want be?" The boy asked David.

"In which position...?" David thought it for a moment. "Forward".

"Forward, huh? It's a nice option for you, because your speciality is to shoot and make goals" The boy said, while putting an arm around David's neck, smiling.

David laugh slighty, but then, the ball went straight to the street, because he kick it with some force. David decide to get it, but when he grab the ball, he saw that a truck was gonna hit him, and close his eyes, with fear immobilizing his legs. He thought that he was gonna feel a lot of pain, but then, someone push him out of the way of the truck and saw who was the one that sacrifice itself. It was his friend, that was smiling softly at him. David could only share some tears and tried to reach him.

"ROBERT!!!!"

David suddenly woke up from that nightmare, althought it was more like a memory. He started to deep breatly and fast while he put his hand in front of his face.

"(Of all my memories... why it has to be that one...?)" David thought a little sad.

He just sighed and lay down on the bed, and saw that it was a bit too early to wake up. He tried to sleep again, but he wasn't feeling like he wanted to sleep again, so he just sit on the bed.

“ Not having a good sleep? ” A voice came from nowhere.

David look around slightly, and saw his white and red wolf-like parasite next to him.

“ Well... you can say that... ” David said, while getting up and stretching his limbs. He changes his clothes to a more normal ones, made his bed and decide to go out of the room, with his parasite following him.

He saw that there were some people in the corridors of the HQ that were worried, and some were stressed.

“(It seems that something big has happened...)” David said while looking around.

He keep walking, seeing more of those worried faces, and he couldn’t think what exactly could have happened to make all these people worried.

After some minutes, he went to the meeting place, where the missions will be known, and even if it is his first mission, he wasn’t very nervous of it, since being very worried wouldn’t let him thing clear on the mission. After entering, he did have to also listen to the loud voice of Lavvy giving missions and heard the missions. The first was Offense, but he discarded, since he would need a partner, and he prefer do these kind of things alone; the next one was Defense, and he thought that he could do this one, since he wouldn’t mind to do it, the third one was the Stealth one, and then he could understand why so many people was worried, since it seems that one of the Generals, Derek, was captured and taken as prisoner, but it said that he possibly escape and they need one to investigate, and if Derek was there, to escort him back to Harmony. Then he saw one that it said that was ‘Special’, and it said that it was more of a group event, to play soccer to relieve stress. David was now in doubts on what to do, in a large part, he wanted to do the Defense mission, but a little part... wanted to play soccer again, even after what happened that time. For him, those seconds thinking were like eternity, and he finally choose his decision. He would do the Special one.

“ It’s rare for you to choose something that is a group event... You normally try to avoid it...” His parasite said.

“I am not in the mood to do the other missions, Ketsu...” David said, lieing.

“You are very bad when it comes to lie about yourself...” Kestu said, with a serious voice.

“Well... you can say that I have personal reasons... and also... I want to play soccer again.” David said, remembering the old times.

“Well, I don’t really mind on what are you going to do... At least that it’s something risky...” Ketsu said, with still his serious voice.

“Because if I die, you die as well, right?” David said, with a little confidence on his voice, and he didn’t hear his parasite answering back, since the answer is obvious.

“And I recognize... that I am interested in a soccer match were our Symbiote forms are allowed...” David said, with a confident smirk on his face, feeling some excitement for that, and seeing something like that on him wasn’t something very normal.

After that conversation with his parasite, he simply went to the place that was said in the ‘mission’.
